(Sigh.)
Grandma and Poppy came by for a visit this past weekend, and brought a foot and a half of snow along with them. Great. Despite it all, I took them downtown to see some Cuban art and the Beaux Arts Museum — my favorite work was a kayak perched atop a bunch of empty beer bottles. I may not care much for carbonated drinks, but I do appreciate a fine boat. But Grandma and Poppy were by far my favorite things to see that weekend, and I snapped this picture myself to commemorate their visit (see how they worship me???)
After digging Grandma and Poppy’s car out Sunday morning, I headed out for another snowy stroll. What was going through my cute little head, you ask? “Papa better have that avalanche safety kit with us!”
Once out on the trail, I get my bearings by finding due SSE (my compass is set to point to the park).
All this snow just cries out for some shoveling! I’ve found mittens are just as effective as shovels in a pinch.

Dude!
So it’s your Poppy and Grandma’s fault we got all that snow?? I wouldn’t advertise that. The city might try to bill them.
I miss you! We have to get together this weekend.
